At last we have reached the 5th edition, a luster!. The word luster comes from Latin and means pure. It refers to the most important purification ceremony that was held every five years in Rome. It's a good excuse to purify, reinvent and improve the festival. The human team of the festival has put in a lot of effort.<\/p>

One of the novelties we have this year is the screening of the film "Women in boxes", a documentary that tells us about the work of magicians' assistants. "Behind every magician there is a great woman...in a box". Beyond the beauty with which they surround each act, these magical ladies are the silent heroines of magic, often responsible for the success or failure of the magician, in many cases risking their physical integrity. Its role is not easy at all and it has immeasurable value. They must move gracefully, always be in the scene without being protagonists, shift attention, think and react quickly. They learn magic while loving man.<\/p>

This year you will be able to see magicians from Germany, France, Argentina, the Canary Islands, Extremadura, Ukraine and Catalonia. In this edition, we award the Honorary Magical Lady Award to Gema Navarro, a woman linked for many years to the world of magic and who has produced the first written work of research and historical recovery of women who have dedicated themselves to the art of magic.<\/p>

This year too, the festival pays a posthumous tribute to Manuela Rejas "La Maga Violeta", screening the short film "Violeta y el ba\u00fal americano" by Paco Tovar. This great woman dedicated a whole life to illusion.<\/p>
