DAMA 2008

3rd INTERNATIONAL MAGICAL LADIES FESTIVAL

For the third year in a row we meet again to enjoy this magical meeting.

When I started with the festival project, a worried magician told me that he would only find magicians to do one or two editions. But I thought there must be many more. I wasn't wrong, we already have the third DAMA, and I assure you that we have a very long list of magical ladies who could not participate this year but we have them in mind for the coming years.

With this initiative, many magicians who did not dare to create new shows are being encouraged to do them because they have a platform where they can show them. This space has also made it possible to generate magical concerns among artists from other disciplines.

Thanks to the efforts of a human team that believed and still believes in the project, this festival is becoming a world benchmark in the world of magic.

We have many spectators who come to see DAMA to be able to schedule their activities and festivals. Many of them are already starting to make a more balanced program of wizards and magicians, even organizing sections exclusively for female magicians. Now they have more female artists to choose from.

In this year's program you will find magical ladies from Catalonia, Extremadura, Castile and Leon, Madrid, Sweden, France, Argentina and China.

As every year we recognize an entire career by giving the award called DAMA MAGICA D'HONOR, in this edition we give it to Manuela Rejas -La Maga Violeta-, the first female illusionist in Spain.

We hope that these days you go crazy and let yourself be seduced by the magic of these great artists.
